FSES, UC Berkeley's newest business club founded in 2010, was the result of an entrepreneurial passion shared by two friends and college entrepreneurs. Arian Rezazadeh (Class of 2013) and Ethan Mark (Class of 2013) had a unique idea for the 2009 Cal vs. Stanford Big Game to help Cal fans show their team pride. As Arian and Ethan always describe it, "It all started with a small idea for a big game, and it turned out to be a big idea for an even bigger game." Arian and Ethan designed Big Game t-shirt people went crazy for, marketed it on campus, and sold a significant quantity of them. But it didn't end there. This business venture that they created from scratch took a lot of time and work. This prompted them to seek a club on campus that could help them out, make the process easier, and allow them to have a support group. To their dismay, Arian and Ethan could not find any clubs on campus that could assist freshman and sophomore students in this, and so they co-founded FSES to meet the needs of this part of the student body.
Today, FSES has rapidly grown into a premier business club focused on a niche of meeting the needs of freshman and sophomore students at the University of California, Berkeley to develop their ideas and make them into full-on business ventures that can operate as stand-alone businesses.
