General Meeting 11/10/11
Time: 7:00-8:30pm
Location: 89 Dwinelle Hall
What to expect: Cal Facilitation Leadership Workshop.
The Cal Facilitation Team (CFT) is a student-led team of facilitators dedicated to learning and practicing facilitation to serve the Cal community. Members of CFT provide workshops and teambuilding experiences to improve team dynamics for campus student groups. By supporting the Cal community in developing stronger teams, CFT hopes to empower students groups to actualize their respective missions and be better prepared to lead for social change in their communities. We believe that improving the leadership abilities and teamwork of student organizations will allow them to have greater impact and will contribute to the devlopment of a dynamic and diverse campus community.
Leadership Colors
Is your team or student organization finding it challenging to work together? Do you have some team members who focus on coming up with innovative and new ideas and other team members who find these ideas unrealistic? Do you have some team members who are excellent at designing to do lists and making things happen and others who place more emphasis on building community? You are not alone; people often bring diverse leadership styles and strengths to a team environment. This workshop is designed to help all team members understand the diverse styles with which people lead. Team members should walk away from this workshop understanding their own leadership style, as well as the styles of their teammates. Furthermore, participants will be introduced to the strengths and potential challenges of each leadership style.
